Text Box: Eid al-Fitr (the festival of breaking the fast) is a joyous three day celebration. It is a time to celebrate with family and friends the completion of a month of blessings and joy.
The Eid prayer is followed by the khutba and then dua’ asking for forgiveness, mercy and help from Allah. Then we can embrace the persons sitting on either side of us as well as our relatives, friends and acquaintances. The takbeer below is said out loud before eid:

Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar
La illaha illa Allah,
Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar
Wa lil-llah Alhamd

Allah is the Greatest ( 3 times)
There is no god but Allah(1 time)
Allah is the Greatest (1 time)
and to Him goes all praise (1 time)
Bismi allahi errahmani errahim
